Sommerfuglehjerter

Lidt mere traditionel julepynt.

Hearts with butterflies

More traditional Christmas ornaments. They are supposed to be easy to make for children.

To ark til med sommerugle til julepynt

Two more sheets with butterflies as Christmas ornaments

They are made the same way as described in the post below. I very much hope, that the outer lines on the blue ones fit together, if not they can be trimmed after glued together. If it is totally impossible, write about it to me.

Butterflies as Christmas ornaments

People tell me that I am crazy: "Butterflies do not belong to a Christmas tree", but why not? A Christmas tree is a summer symbol you have in your house in the darkest time of the year, And what is mmore like summer than a butterfly?
They are best printed on thin cardstock or thick paper. The dark ones are for the backsides, they are glued to the front sides. It is best to cut a little outside the antennas. You can fasten them to the branches with a needle.

The merrygoround finished

Now I did collect the currage to finnish the merrygoround. It is terribly difficult to make, You have to be rather skilled to make it, just a warning!
It is big, and as Christmas ornament, it needs a big tree. It could be used in a Christmas landscabe too.

Karrusel

Merrygoround

No it is certainly not perfect! but I had lot of fun. It is loopsided, the middle is too narrow, it is difficult to know before you make it. The sleigh is orientated the wrong way, I am a little forgetfull. And it is too big, but I dont think it is possible to make it smaller.

To julekurve med blomster

Two baskets for christmas tree

Aa Kirke

Aa Church

Months ago I took some photos of Aa Church. It is , in my opinion, a rather impressive building.
The nave and the choir are from ca. 1150, the tower is builded later. I have been told, that Aa Church and Østermarie Church (now a ruin) are very rare, they originally had two aisles, the most common are either one or the basilica type with three aisles. The inside is rebuilded it is a pity.

Julekurve med blomster

Christmas ornaments with flowers

A walk in the late autum

My son and daughter in law, were going home by airplane. When I went home from the airport, I stopped to take a look around and take some photos, it was a dark and grey day.
One of the photos shows something looking like apples, they are mushrooms, I dont know the name of them, and did not want to pick them, they looked so nice where they were.
On the picture in top of the others, the tree in the middle is an old oak, half of the trunk has broken off, and it is hollow. It is called "Burned Ole", There is an old tale about it: A Sweedish soldier, did hide himself inside the trunk, the tree was hit from a flash of lightening, and he was found many years later as a skelleton.
I have bought a new laptop, everything is new and strange, and I have great difficulties with light and colours, so I must hope that it is going to look like I want it to.

Ginger bread houses made of cardstock

They can be used as ornaments on the Christmas tree or in snow landscabes.
I have a problematic relationship with gingerbread houses, I once made one, I cant describe how awfull it tasted, never tried another time.
